The Kajih Hierarchy, the Animals and Us

"There is a permanent interaction going on among the various levels of existence of the kingdoms of this planet, so our contact with the animal kingdom transcends that kind of more direct contact that people might have in general. The evolution of our contact with this animal life depends on some aspects. Basically on the level with the nucleus of our own inner self. So this is very important point. So the more we are in touch with the nucleus of our own inner self, the more we can be in contact with the inner life that is expressed through the life of animals.
Another important point is the level of self-control we have obtained outwardly. So the more self-control we have over the forces of our bodies, the more we are able to help the animals directly and indirectly, as we shall see shortly.
Another important point is our level of contact with the invisible subtle inner life that governs, that controls the evolution of the animal kingdom. The processes of manifestation of the various species of animals are more flexible than what they first appear to be. They go far beyond biological information, theories of the evolution of the species, they transcend this aspect of the form.

Once there was a dog, that when he was young, he used to trigger the same perception in several people at different times. On the subtle levels he was seen in the form of other animals. He used to appear on the subtle levels, in dreams or in visions, and he seemed to have other animal species living within him.

So this dog who was in contact with several human beings who loved him very much, seemed to be acting as a field of experience for other animals that were normally wild and could not have a direct contact with the human kingdom in the current state of the planet. So that animal, that dog, during that period of his life, was really more than only that dog. Inside of himself he was several wild, very wild animals. In this way he provided opportunities for them to get closer to the human aura. So in spite of being a dog externally, on the subtle levels other species were living their experiences through him. So when he was seen in the subtle levels he was seen as a panther, as a jaguar, as other animals and this was sometimes very perceptible in his behaviour because although he was very gentle, at times he would become very unruly, until those rebellious forces were transmuted and he again found his point of relationship with the humans. So this gives us an idea of how flexible that process of manifestation of life is within in the species and how delicate our contact with the animals is, whether directly or indirectly, because animal life perceives the vibrations, it perceives the colours, the emanations, coming from the surroundings, from people, from the aura of the places. So even a wilderness that may be close to where we live will start to radiate a certain vibration that will draw or not draw certain animal species in there, depending on the vibratory field that is generated there. As human beings we participate in the evolution of animals in a way that is intrinsic to our human state.

The fact that we are humans already gives us a responsibility in the process of animal evolution because we are to the animals what the spiritual hierarchy is to us. So by the law of analogy and by the law of evolution what we seek in the spiritual hierarchy, who are our messengers from God, the animals seek in us. That is to say, we represent that which is the next step for animal life within the cycle of evolution. So the mere fact of our being in the human kingdom already gives us that responsibility, that task. Our inner development, as our soul develops and as inner beings, we gradually get into contact with life in the planetary centres, with our inner groups, and as we become able to transmit those energies, we then begin to act more directly upon the evolution of the kingdoms, that is our emanation, our radiation becomes more powerful, more magnetic, as if a greater voltage were to begin to radiate and to be transmitted through us, so our responsibility increases. Inwardly we may be in contact this evolutionary vibration, this impulse, that comes from the planetary centres, that comes from the inner groups or comes from the entities that govern the evolution of the animal kingdom. And as we receive these impulses we are intermediaries for the transmission of these impulses as well. We transmit some things externally that is, through thoughts, feelings, desires, through our action and etheric impulses we emanate. So our action whether it be inward as soul, in the level of the body of light or in the monadic field in contact with planetary centres, and with the entities that govern animal evolution, or whether it be on the mental level, the emotional level, or at the physical etheric level, either in direct or indirect contact with the animals, we have a responsibility in this regard and a very important role to play.

Animal life exists as a whole, as a kingdom: the entity that is animal life. It transcends the boundaries of the planetary environs. The animal kingdom exists in the cosmos and it also exists here on Earth. So at the level of the animal kingdom there is a consciousness that is expressed through the animal kingdom in cosmic life. It is the stage of the evolution of consciousness which is one. That entity, that animal life exists here on Earth and this is a portion of a greater life, within that animal life as a whole, that animal entity here on Earth we find the governing entity of the species. So each species expresses a specific constructive power, a specific aspect of the manifestation of that planetary animal life. So for each species there is governing consciousness, there is an entity that is manifested through all the beings that make up that species. And some species have beings that are the guardians. So that are guardians of certain groups of animals and sometimes a single animal has a guardian almost only to itself, specially if the animal is approaching individualization. Individualization is that crisis, that process, when the animal begins to stand out from the planetary animal entity of that species, and begins to form an individual nucleus. It is a gradual process and it forms an individual soul nucleus, as a soul. It forms an individual soul body, and it begings to prepare to enter the next levels of its evolution, that is, it prepares to enter the human kingdom. So individualization is like the initiation of that being, of that monad. It leaves one kingdom and enters a higher kingdom. A being, a monad only transmigrates from one kingdom to another when it starts to become gradually radioactive. As it radiates it begins to create a field of energy that puts it in touch with the next level of evolution. If it does not become radioactive, it remains immersed in the group, in that nucleus of which it is a part. So the more radioactive a being becomes the more contact it acquires with the next stage of evolution. So this happens as the animal radiates, as it becomes radioactive.
The individualization process of animals on Earth is thus directly related to its contact with the human kingdom. As an animal gradually gets in touch with the human kingdom it begins to express devotion, it begins to express a certain love for that person or those persons who represent its next evolutionary step. And this gradually makes this animal radioactive. This would be the normal process of individualization. 

Contact with the human being brings about radiation in the inner level, as a soul as we have seen. But it also brings about radiation in the mental level. As an animal draws closer to the human kingdom it learns to think. It begins to form its embryonic mental body. It gradually organises its astral body, because it absorbs the emanations from the human beings, from environment where the person lives and so it prepares itself to enter the human kingdom.

So that animal that was mentioned, that dog that showed that he contained wild animals within himself, to give him a field of experience close to the human kingdom was seen in the following dream. He was in a workshop. Whenever the person needed a tool or some work object he communicated telepathically with the dog and the dog would bring that object. And the person who was dreaming  knew in the dream that it was that particular dog except that the dog did not appear like a dog, it did not have the body of an animal, but in that dream he had a body of a child. So in that dream he showed that he was already a child even though externally he was still an animal. So you can see how delicate this process is, how the expression of animal life is really the expression of life in general and it develops in several levels at the same time. We cannot limit our contact with beings to what we see externally. So within that which exists externally, which is the most outward, the least part, there is here a co-existence of lives, of manifestations. So that dog, who is being used as example, held within himself other species of wild animals to give them the opportunity to be close to us and to our living environment, and also showed that in the subtle levels he was already a child.
When an animal begins to stand out from the animal group-soul it can even reincarnate while it is still in the animal kingdom. If we become aware of these facts we will be more careful with what we emit. Because by what we emit we influence ourselves, as we have seen, with our thoughts, our feelings, our actions, we decide our destiny, we build a destiny. But we also shape the state of the lives that share this planet with us. So if we become aware of these things we will be more careful about what we are emitting. When we emit a thought or a feeling, we are shaping elemental matter on the mental, emotional, and etheric levels, we are building forms, entities, being, little creatures. So certain emanations of instinct and certain instinctual process that we foment in ourselves and still permit to take place in ourselves create some very grotesque forms on the subtle levels. Certain emotional reactions, certain mental reactions create little monsters in the subtle levels, and these distorted little creatures which are linked to our instinctual reactions are going to act directly on the animal kingdom. This because the animal kingdom is exactly in the instinctual level and is preparing itself to transcend that instinctual level. So when they are directly or indirectly in contact with us, because the animals in the woods are indirectly in our aura's, linked to our vibratory fields, so through that direct or subtle contact with us the animals should be elevated in order to form a mental body and an elevated psychic state that would help them to become individualized within the law of service and within the law of love. And what do they receive from us, from humanity in general, are low, grotesque emanations. As humans we have certain behaviours that are inferior to animal behaviour. Certain expressions of emotion, certain reactions, are below those that animals have already managed to express and we often reinforce those expression by repeating them. We have no idea what happens when we react. We have no idea of the damage we cause to the planet, to animal life, when we emit a reaction and send those repulsive forms into space, with a low vibration that either continues to circulate in our aura or are projected unto other people and this will directly influence the animal kingdom.

So we can see that we have a great responsibility. We are not even mentioning the continuous slaughter of animals, the ongoing murder of animals, and what this generates, the impact this has on the animal kingdom. We are talking about something that we are all emitting the whole time. What is the level of our thoughts? What is the level of our desires, the level of our reactions, the sense of possessiveness that we nurture, the arguments, the competitiveness, the separateness? What forms are we sending out into space and directly influencing animal life, which is delicate, which is vulnerable to all this.

There are wild animals - and they exist still today - that human words and the forms created by the human beings with those words, are hindering from taking that step towards being less wild than they are.

We know that we live in an animal body. Our genetic code was obtained from an animal body. The DNA as we know was taken from a species of dinosaur and it was used to form the body we have today. So as humans we have a quite direct connection with the animal kingdom but we, as consciousness are not animals, we are not in animal bodies in order to reinforce the animal state, not even the human state, and much less to degrade the animal state. So each one of us can do something to benefit animal evolution, if we begin with ourselves.

Many people say they love animals very much, they pour a lot of affection unto animals but they emit terrible reactions, they emit reactions that are going to undermine what they are building with their affection, their love and dedication. So this incorrect use, this lack of understanding, or this incapacity or this absence of willingness  - and most of the times it is a lack of willingness, lack of decision -  to transmute those instinctual impulses, those impulses towards violence, those impulses of possessiveness and this makes us generate a karma of obligation or a debt to the animal kingdom.
Besides holding back the human state of evolution at a point where it should no longer be, we are hindering the animal kingdom from entering the next stage it is supposed to enter, that is, instead of being collaborators in that process, we become obstacles in the process of evolution, so we have a responsibility there.

Once the Mother, the being who worked with Sri Aurobindo, was taking care of a pregnant cat. Because of her high level of radiation the Mother had, she had a greater influence than we would have on the life of  the planet and on the life of the kingdoms. So the Mother had this cat and one day a female cat with a beautiful tail walked by them and the Mother remarked to the cat that lived with her how that tail was well-shaped, how special the fur and the markings were, how the form was well-built. The days went by and the gestation was completed and the cat living with the Mother gave birth to a female kitten and this kitten had a tail that was exactly like the one on the cat previously pointed out by the Mother. So you see how flexible, how impressionable, how pliable life is, how the genetic or chemical influences, on which biologists, scientists and we ourselves place such importance are really the last stage of an impulse of manifestation. So when the Mother, with that inner power, that she is, that she represents, emitted that impulse to the pregnant cat, as the cat was in the aura of that being, it easily shaped formed a tail just as the one as was being observed externally. This happens more often than we realise. In the same way that this can happen within a harmonious pattern, a pattern of beauty, it can also happen with a deformity, it can happen with a distortion. So we have a very direct participation in the building even of forms, in the mineral kingdom, in the crystallisation of some minerals, in the plant kingdom, in the animal kingdom and in our own human kingdom. We have a direct involvement in the way those forms will be constituted. This participation comes mainly from or through the conveyance of the angelic kingdom, which are the building forms that shape al the forms. So when we are aware of these facts we can work towards a purification of our way of being, we can seek a deepening with the innermost nucleus of our being and seek contact with the subtle builder of life, this devic life, the Kajih hierarchy and this angelic life, the Nanjih hierarchy, so that we may become collaborators in the process, so that we may be helped to transmute distorted impulses in us, so that we can emit impulses that build evolutionary patterns which come from and which we are able to receive and transmit through contact with the hierarchies of the devas and angels, the Kajih and Nanjih hierarchies.

Birds are unique in the animal kingdom. Birds are almost a kingdom apart within the animal kingdom, because birds have a close relationship with these constructing hierarchies, the angels and devas, the Nanjih hierarchy and the Kajih hierarchy. There are certain bird species that once they have achieved a certain degree of experience, they transmigrate to the devic kingdom, to the Kajih hierarchy. So it is as though as there were a direct doorway of communication between these two kingdoms and the birds even within the animal kingdom are very close to the constructing beings. So much of the activity of birds, their song, their sounds, their flights, is an activity that relates to the constructive action of the Kajih and Nanjih hierarchies. They work with certain subtle forms; they follow certain lines of etheric energies in the environments. Sometimes they even open up those paths of circulation of energy in the environment, through their flight, their presence, their singing. So in those species of birds, in that bird kingdom we have a doorway to contact the devic kingdom and the angelic kingdom.

Question: how can we help the evolution of those sub human kingdoms in regard to the fact that so many people are doing the opposite, rather than helping evolution?
A conscious positive action has far more strength, much more power to build than many unconscious actions. So a conscious, lively contact with an animal, a contact within the law of love, within the law of service can have a greater inner repercussion than many acts carried out through ignorance and violence and all those things we know exist.

So the first thing when we are going to collaborate with evolution, when we are going to be willing to stop being an obstacle, to stop being a burden to the planet, and to dedicate ourselves to the evolutionary way of constructing, of light, is for us to assume our role integrally, to take our part completely. So we begin with ourselves. There is no use in bringing into your house animals that have been abandoned on the streets and then act violently towards other people. Begin with your self-transformation. It is very good to shelter animals but it is not enough to be able to give the animal kingdom an impulse, to help the individualization of those animals, because we emit what we are, we radiate what we are. So every vibration, every colour, every sound, all the forms, all the creatures we create are going to making up what we emit. Even when we create a havoc and then beg for pardon, we have already emitted that, we have already caused the upheaval. So it begins with each one of us and this does not only happen when in contact with the animal kingdom – a direct contact with the animal kingdom brings an even greater responsibility. But being in contact with a plant, with a person, with a situation, we are always building something there. We are building a field of energy that is in action even at a distance. So it begins with us and there is no excuse to exempt ourselves from doing this work. The work can go into effect immediately as soon as we become aware of the repercussion of our actions. So this is the first point.

The nex point is: once you become aware of this you gradually become more magnetic. You begin to organise your subtle bodies and your soul begins to radiate more and more through you. Your heart center expands and you become more magnetic. At this point you begin to draw to yourself those beings that need your help. And this can happen in brief moments and it can happens in longer cycles. It may happen that some animal that needs your help can feel drawn to you, an animal that may need your contact may be drawn to you by passing by. You can be walking down in a trail and suddenly you run into a wolf. You look into the eye of that wolf. He stands there still, looking into your eyes for a few seconds. Then it disappears into the under grove. Something took place at that moment. That animal was touched in some way. And it may happen that you walk along a trail and a grey wolf is silently waiting for you to pass by and you are not aware of it, but the wolf receives what you are emitting, and that builds something in the animal, in regard to the human kingdom and in regard of itself as a being – it is the impulse that is being received. So our contact with the animal kingdom becomes far broader if we open ourselves to this work, things begin to happen.

Once someone started to work with birds. She placed food on the window sail from where she worked so that the birds could feed. And here is what happened. When she placed the food and moved away, the birds came to feed. She when she went near the window the birds flew away and waited for her to go away. But one day a nestling from the same species started to do the opposite. When the birds came, and made all that movement around the food, the nestling kept away. When the person went near the window and all the birds flew away the nestling would come to feed, right next to the person. That little bird began to go into the house, began to feed inside the house. It began to build a different relationship. That nestling had been born better prepared to come closer. So one cannot imagine what can happen, what can come from this.

There is a kind of legend in ancient Tibet, in certain places, certain monasteries. That were created on their own. It was as if they had sprung up on their own. And everything that existed within that field of energy, within that aura, in the surrounding of the monasteries had an unique quality. The animals that lived in that region were tamed. The wolves played with the gazelles, the animals did not kill one another. And when some human being entered this environment in order to hunt, the guns just did not work, the animals would play with the hunters' dogs. It was a different state of consciousness that became manifested there. Now this existed as a legend, as a myth, but there are some cases of places similar to this in the physical level. So the legend mingles with what was an external reality. And in a spiritual centre where there is a field of energy that has been specially worked on, the radiation of evolutionary impulses, very specific work is done there. It is a very particular testing ground. So what can happen in the aura of a spiritual centre in regard to the evolution of the kingdom is something we cannot even imagine. So we should be more attentive, more watchful in regard to our life within a spiritual centre and be aware of what we are providing for the other kingdoms, that also live there and share the environment with us.
